Description

No. 7 Leam Terrace is a house built around 1834, located in Royal Leamington Spa. It is constructed of brick with painted stucco facades and features a Welsh slate roof, showcasing a Neo-Tudor style.

The house has two storeys with an attic and consists of two bays. The left bay is narrow and deeply recessed, while the right bay is gabled. The entrance is situated to the left, accessed by two steps leading to a Gothic porch. Inside the porch is a four-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed and featuring Gothic tracery, while the lower panels have quatrefoil decoration. Above the door is a three-pane overlight with a tooled surround. The ground floor also includes a ten-pane French window with a divided overlight, plain reveals, a tooled surround, and a raised cornice.

On the first floor, the left side has a four-over-four sash window, and the right side has a six-over-six sash window, both with sills, hoodmoulds, and plain reveals. There are two decorative bands to the left and an embattled parapet. The attic on the right gable features a three-over-six sash window with a hoodmould, sill, and plain reveals. The house is adorned with decorative bargeboards and has an end stack with a cornice.

The interior has not been inspected. Historically, Leam Terrace was laid out between 1828 and 1836, with both sides of Willes Road nearly fully constructed by 1841.
