Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, that dates from the early 18th century but likely has earlier origins, along with later additions and alterations. It is built from reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond and has a Welsh slate roof.
The building is two storeys high with an attic in the gable and features three first-floor windows, with two ranges at the rear. On the first floor, there is a central 6/6 sash window, while the other windows are 8/8 sashes. The ground floor has a central four-panel door with an overlight, framed by a pilastered surround that includes a frieze, a hood, and a low parapet. The remaining ground floor windows are also 8/8 sashes. All windows have plain reveals, sills, and flat arches. The eaves have a decorative band and are wide. The attic features a semi-circular window in the gable head, and the building has gabled roofs with two internal stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
