Description
Honington Hall's outbuilding, known as The Bothy, is a granary that dates from the late 16th to 17th century. It features brickwork arranged in a diaper pattern and has limestone quoins. The building has a tiled roof and gable fronted sides, consisting of a single storey plus an attic. Access is provided by a plank door with moulded wood surrounds, which is reached by a short wooden ladder. The ground floor includes 4-pane windows with semi-circular arched brick heads, while the attic has 2-light dormer windows. Each side of the building rests on a base supported by two brick arches. The interior has not been inspected.
