Description

This headstone, located approximately 11 meters south of the west end of the former Parish Church of St James in Alveston, dates from the early 18th century. It is made of ashlar and features a segmental-headed design with a cherub above a cartouche that is framed by drapery tied at the corners. The inscription on the headstone is illegible. It is included in the listing for its group value.
