Description
The Church of All Saints features a group of five headstones located approximately 10 meters south of the south aisle. These headstones are boldly carved from limestone. The first headstone, dated 1738, has a scrolled head with winged cherubs and a moulded circular surround that contains an inscription dedicated to William Prandis. The second headstone, dated 1670, commemorates Ann, the wife of William Prandis, and has a classical design with a scrolled head. The third headstone, dated 1730, also features a scrolled head with a winged cherub at the center, surrounded by flowers and drapes, although the inscription is illegible. The fourth headstone, dated 1721, is plain with a scrolled head and bears an inscription dedicated to the wife of Timothy Marchall. The fifth headstone honors Timothy Marchall and is decorated with a carved scrolled head and floral motifs.
