Description

The dovecote at Honington Hall, located approximately 200 meters north of the main building, dates from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone with yellow limestone dressings. The roof is pyramidal, made of stone slate laid in diminishing courses, and features a wooden lantern at the top, which has a hipped slate roof and a ball finial. The dovecote has an octagonal plan and includes plank door boxes. Inside, there is a central wooden post with a revolving ladder.
