Description
The Anglo Saxon Inn is a 17th-century inn with an early 18th-century front, located on the north side of High Street in Bidford-on-Avon. The building features a timber frame that is completely rendered, with the front designed to imitate ashlar stonework and a moulded plaster coved cornice. It has a hipped tile roof sloping to the left, although the chimneys have been removed. The structure is L-shaped, with two storeys and a three-window range. The entrance is low and has a late 19th or early 20th-century five-panelled door. The windows are 16-pane sashes, and both the door and windows are set in moulded plaster surrounds with key blocks. The front of the building partly serves as a screen wall, and the roof slopes down behind the top left corner. The interior has undergone significant alterations.
