Description
The stable and cow shed, located approximately 45 metres north-north-west of Lower Ingon Farmhouse, is a 19th-century structure with later alterations. It features a single-storey L-plan design constructed from brick and weatherboarding, topped with old tile roofs.
The exterior includes a slightly taller north range attached to the west end of the barn, which has a timber front wall and stable doors. The west range has timber walls and stable doors on either side of a central brick pier, with a brick-walled stable at the right end that includes a stable door and a glazed window. Originally open-fronted, this area has been infilled with timber. The roofs are gabled.
At the rear, there is a late 19th-century to early 20th-century hunt kennel that was converted into a dwelling in the late 20th century. This building is part of a group of structures that surround three sides of the farmyard to the north of Lower Ingon Farmhouse.
