Description
This listing describes a row of five headstones located approximately 4 meters south of the chancel of the Church of All Saints. The headstones date from the mid-17th century to the 19th century and are made of carved and moulded ironstone. The second headstone is dated 1659, and the third is from 1660, both featuring similar designs with a scrolled top and a moulded sunk panel. They bear inscriptions for Mikell Foxe and Thomas Foxe, respectively. The fourth headstone, dated 1704, has a scrolled top with a winged head and a panel in a moulded architrave with volutes. The fifth headstone, from the early to mid-18th century, is a double headstone with a moulded scrolled segmental top, two winged heads, and two round-arched panels. The remaining headstone is not considered to have special architectural interest.
