Description
The war memorial, located approximately 16 meters south of the porch of the Church of St. Botolph, was erected around 1919. It is made of ironstone and designed in the style of a 15th-century churchyard cross. The memorial features a high square base with a chamfered plinth and a splayed cornice, with one step above. The square base is cut back to form a moulded octagon. The cross itself has an octagonal shaft and a moulded capital adorned with interlace bond, although the carved cross is damaged. The memorial includes fine lettering and is noted for its group value with the church.
