Description

This is a headstone located approximately 9 meters southeast of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St. John the Baptist. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and is made of carved ironstone. The headstone features a shaped top with central and end finials, along with an entablature and shafts. The inscription is dedicated to Frances Perkines, although it is worn and has sunk over time. This headstone is included for its group value.
