Description

Hillside Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse built of regularly coursed ironstone, featuring a string course. It has a 20th-century tile roof with coped gable parapets and kneelers, as well as old brick ridge stacks that include string courses. The building has a T-plan layout with a cross wing on the left and presents a regular balanced design. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has a four-window range. The entrance is located in the main range and consists of a double-leaf, four-panelled door set within a moulded architrave, flanked by single lights with transoms. There is a window to the right, and throughout the building, there are leaded cross windows, some of which are original. The two-window cross wing features a single attic window, while the right return side of the wing has a one-window range. A late 20th-century roof dormer is present, and the return sides exhibit irregular fenestration. The interior has not been inspected.
