Description
This is a row of three cottages located at 3-5 Church Hill, dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and feature slate roofs with brick stacks. Each cottage has a one-unit plan and stands two storeys high, forming a four-window range. They have four-panelled doors, with the door of No. 3 on the right featuring an arched metal hood. Nos. 3 and 4 have early to mid-19th century casements with painted lintels, while No. 5 on the left has late 20th century casements on the ground floor, set within an old chamfered stone surround. The door and wood lintels of No. 5 are unpainted. The row is stepped down a steep hillside, and the interior has not been inspected.
