Description
The Old Baptist Meeting House, now used as church rooms, was built between 1735 and 1736. It is a two-storey brick building featuring a brick dentil cornice and a hipped tile roof. The structure has an L-plan, with the Meeting House projecting at right angles to the lane. The building has a single high storey and a three-window range. The entrance is located in the left end wall, featuring double-leaf six-panelled doors within a porch that forms part of the boundary wall to the lane. The windows are round-arched wood with Y-glazing and gauged brick arches. To the left, there is a two-storey, two-window range with a central six-panelled door and a hood, along with similar but smaller round-arched casement windows. Inside, there is an 18th-century gallery balustrade with turned balusters and three early 19th-century wall monuments.
