Description

This chest tomb, dating from 1691, is located approximately 10 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Botolph. It is made of carved and moulded ironstone and features a moulded top. The north side has a large panel with a central moulded sunk inscription panel, flanked by a stylised rose on the left and a thistle on the right. The top band is decorated with alternating hearts and crossbones. The south side displays a moulded oval panel with vases of flowers on both the left and right. Both the east and west sides also feature oval panels.
