Description

Harbury Fields Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with a right wing that is likely from the early to mid-18th century and a left wing from the early to mid-19th century. The building is constructed of Flemish bond red brick, featuring a rendered plinth, a ground floor sill course, a string course, and a moulded cornice. The sides and rear also have a brick string course and a dentil cornice. The right rear wing is made of coursed limestone. The farmhouse has hipped tile roofs and brick ridge stacks, and it is designed in an L-plan that extends to a U-plan, reflecting a late Georgian style.

It stands three storeys high and has a four-window range. The entrance, located in the third bay, features a half-glazed six-panelled door with a fanlight set in a moulded wood doorcase that includes pilasters and an open pediment. The first and fourth bays contain tripartite sashes, while the second and third bays have 16-pane sashes, all framed by rendered rusticated flat arches with keyblocks. A late 19th-century full-width timber and corrugated iron verandah is present, along with a lower second floor. A lean-to on the left side has a 20th-century casement window. The rear of the building is irregular, with the main range showcasing a cross window with a horizontal glazing bar beneath a brick segmental arch, while the wings have 20th-century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
