Description
Lower Fields Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 18th century but has origins in the 17th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a 20th-century tile roof with brick stacks at the ends. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high, with a three-window range. The ground floor has 19th-century cross casements, while the first floor features 19th-century two-light casements, although the central window is blocked. The ground floor windows are topped with stone flat arches. There is a panelled and glazed door, also with a stone flat arch, and a 19th-century gabled hood above it. At the rear, there is a 19th-century brick range. Inside, the farmhouse includes stop-chamfered spine beams and one open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer.
