Description
Arnold Villas, consisting of numbers 1 and 2, were built around 1851 to 1860 and are located on Church Walk. These semi-detached houses are arranged in three pairs and are designed in a Gothic style, featuring yellow brick construction. They have gabled pattern tiled roofs and are two storeys high with attics. The windows are casement style with wooden mullions and transoms, set beneath painted lintels, while the ground floor includes canted bay windows. The buildings are supported by buttresses with offsets. The garden wall to the southwest of the villas is made of embattled red brick and displays the year "1851" in large black brick figures. This listing is included for its group value with the other villas in the row.
