Description
This is a pair of gatepiers located 100 metres north-east of Bilton Grange, built in 1846 by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin for Captain J.H. Washington Hibbert. They are constructed from red brick with ashlar dressings. The gatepiers have square bases with canted corners and octagonal upper sections that taper to flat caps featuring dentillations. Each pier stands approximately 2 metres high and appears to have originally been topped with lamps. The gates were renewed in the late 20th century, and there is a 19th-century wrought iron kissgate attached to the eastern pier.
