Description
Woodbine Cottage is a Grade II listed cottage dating from the early 15th century. It is cruck built with an open hall and has undergone alterations and additions in the 17th century and later. The structure features a timber frame with later brick infill that is painted white, topped with a plain-tiled roof. Originally consisting of three cells with a large open hall, it now has two cells due to the demolition of the northern bay. On the east wall, there is a 20th-century gable dormer and 20th-century leaded light casements at the ground floor. A doorway is located at the north end of the east wall, featuring a 20th-century part-glazed door. The cruck blades are visible, displaying spurs and small frame panelling, and the full cruck construction includes a collar. However, the apex construction of the blades is obscured by barge-boarding.
