Description
The First World War memorial, located approximately 25 meters north of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, was erected around 1919. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a rectangular pedestal on a plinth with moulded coping, topped by a cross. Flanking the cross are two statues: on the north side stands an infantryman holding a rifle, and on the south side is a sailor holding a chain and rope, both depicted in contemporary uniform. The memorial is accessible from all four sides via three steps, which bow out in the center on the east and west sides.
