Description
No. 16 Coleshill Road is a house that is part of a row, built in the early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a dog-tooth cornice, topped by an old plain-tile roof. The left end stack has been largely rebuilt in late 19th-century brick. The building is designed in a late Georgian style and is L-shaped with a wing on the right at the rear. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range.
The central entrance consists of a fielded four-panelled door with an overlight, all set within a moulded wood surround that includes a cornice. To the left on the ground floor, there is a late 19th-century rendered canted bay window with segmental-arched sashes, featuring four panes at the front, and a moulded cornice above. On the right side, there is a carriage archway with a brick basket arch and double plank doors.
The upper floors have late 20th-century top-hung casements in the first bay. The first floor features a 16-pane sash window and a central 12-pane sash, while the second floor has an 8-pane sash and a central 6-pane sash. Fluted rendered flat arches with keyblocks and moulded cornices adorn the windows. The interior has not been inspected.
