Description
The Elms is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick and featuring a string course and a moulded cornice. It has an old plain-tile double-span roof with stone-coped gable parapets and two brick valley stacks. The building is designed in a double-depth L-plan and has two storeys plus an attic, with a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by a 12-pane overlight, which is sheltered by a moulded projecting hood. The windows are centre-opening three-light casements with toplights, all having gauged brick flat arches. There is also a painted central dummy window. The left return side exhibits irregular fenestration, and there is a two-storey wing at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
