Barn Approximately 30 Metres North West Of Abbey Farmhouse

This barn, dating from the 18th century, is located approximately 30 meters northwest of Abbey Farmhouse. It likely incorporates some masonry reused from Merevale Abbey. The structure features a regular coursed sandstone plinth and a right return side that reaches gable height, with quoins. The barn is constructed of brick and has a dentil cornice, topped with an old plain-tile roof. It consists of four bays, although the front facing the yard is mostly hidden by an attached shelter shed and later lean-to buildings, which are not included in this listing. The barn has a plank door and a stable door with a brick segmental arch. The rear of the barn includes vents, a central segmental-arched opening set high, a similar blocked opening below and to the right, a sliding door, and a window opening on the left.
