Description

The Gilbert family memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 4 yards south of the south door of the Church of St. Peter. It dates from around 1741 and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb has a rectangular plan with a chamfered base, panelled sides, panelled corner pilasters, and a fluted frieze. It features a pediment on both sides, which is flanked by acroteria.
