Description
This is a barn located approximately 70 metres north-east of Wall Hill Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century with later alterations and additions. It is constructed from coursed and dressed sandstone rubble and features blue machine tile roofs with verge parapets. The barn has an 'L'-shaped plan and consists of two levels, with a hay loft situated over the byres and stables.
On the northern range, there are three hay loft doors and vents, although the doors are now missing. Below these, there are four doors, with the two on the right paired, alternating with bottom-hung casements. A three-tier gabled stone-faced dovecote is set on the ridge to the left, and the left-hand range has a slightly higher apex. The barn is built into a bank on the left side, with an entry on the right that has a 20th-century lintel above. There is a blocked door to the left and a concrete block lean-to in the centre, which masks the lower part of the structure.
