Description

Overton Bank is a house, possibly originally built as an assembly room for the Swan Hotel on St Edward Street, and is now partially used by the hotel, with the lower storey currently disused. It dates from the early 19th century and features Flemish bond brickwork with blue headers and a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a single-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door set in a plain wood architrave, which was formerly flanked by canted bay windows, although only one of these bay windows remains. There is a large oriel bay window on the first floor and a modillion eaves cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
