Description

The Slack Memorial is a chest tomb located adjacent to the north wall of the nave of the Church of St Leonard in Ipstones. It commemorates Ann and Josiah Slack, who both died in 1819. The tomb is made of stone and features a moulded plinth. There are incised ovals on the sides and reeded pilasters at the corners, which support a frieze. The top slab is corniced and has a break adorned with fleurons.
