Description

The Clarke and Sutton family memorial is a triple chest tomb located approximately 15 yards south-west of the west tower of the Church of St. Peter. This early 19th-century memorial is constructed from ashlar and features a square plan with panelled sides and caps that have moulded edges. The tomb commemorates several family members: John Clarke, who died in 1823; Lydia Clarke, who died in 1851; Anne Clarke, who died in 1814; Richard Sutton, who died in 1872; another Richard Sutton, who died in 1797; and Mary Sutton, who died in 1832.
