Description

The Vase is an ornamental garden building located in Biddulph Grange, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of stone and features a large rim with a diameter of approximately 1.5 meters, set on a waisted bowl. The structure has a moulded stem and stands on a circular plinth, reaching a total height of 2 meters. It marks the end of the vista along Wellingtonia Avenue, aligned with a clipped yew hedge square that corresponds with the former terrace outside Bateman's study.
