Description
Wood Eaton Bridge (Number 29) is a road bridge over the Shropshire Union Canal, built around 1830-1833 and designed by Thomas Telford. The bridge is constructed of stone and features a stone band and copings. It has a single elliptical arch made of voussoirs, with solid parapets and piers. The abutments are battered outwards towards the base and are slightly curved in plan. On the south side, there is an oval iron number plate, and the bridge is equipped with two iron rope fenders. The towpath coping is made of stone and brick.
