Description

Gravel Pit Lodge, dated 1859, is a two-storey building. The ground floor is constructed of stone rubble, while the first floor features a decorative timber frame and plaster. On the left side, there is a gable, with a smaller projecting gable below it set on a rounded stone base. The south side displays a gable with an overhanging oriel window above a stone mullioned canted bay window, which has leaded lights. At the rear, there is a plain doorway situated under a projecting hipped bay. A massive stone and brick chimney is located on the west side, and the roof is covered with tiles.
