Description
Sandon Lodge is a building that dates back to the 18th century, with a refronting that reveals an earlier timber frame at the rear. The exterior is roughcast and the building has two storeys plus an attic. At the center, there is a slightly projecting bay topped with a pediment. The façade features five sash windows with cambered heads. The entrance has a moulded wood pilaster doorcase, a rectangular fanlight, a cornice hood, and a four-panelled door. The gable ends are brick-coped, and the eaves are plain, with a tiled roof. The north gabled end and two gables at the rear showcase restored 17th-century work, with exposed timber framing and brick infill. Additionally, there is an early 19th-century plain brick wing with three windows on the right-hand side.
