Description
Meafordhall Farm Bridge No 102 is a canal road bridge, likely built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brindled brick with stone coping and features a single span with a humped back and an elliptical arch. The bridge has swept wings that end in piers at all four corners, along with stone quoins. A stone string course with a dentillated brick band runs beneath the arch, and there is a stone plaque at the crown on both sides. The Trent and Mersey Canal, which this bridge serves, was constructed between 1766 and 1777 by James Brindley and Hugh Henshall.
