Description
Park Lodge is a house built around 1820, constructed of ashlar stone with a plastered rear and a hipped tile roof featuring ashlar stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with a four-window range. It is characterized by end pilasters and a top cornice. The entrance is located to the right and features a tetrastyle Tuscan porch with a stained-glass panel, while the window to the left has a stained-glass horned sash. The left end includes a canted bay window with a cornice and parapet, fitted with plate-glass horned sashes, and the right end has a similar sash window. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sashes, one of which is horned. The house has two cross-axial stacks.
The right side of the building features a two-storey bowed bay with four-light windows supported by reeded pilasters, and a projecting ground floor to the right that has a canted bay window. The rear of the house has three hipped gables, with the central one being smaller, and a lateral stack. There is also a 20th-century single-storey addition at the rear.
Inside, the hall includes an open well stair with a landing balustrade made of turned and twisted balusters, along with other fittings from around 1900. The room to the right contains an Adam-style fireplace and window shutters.
