Description
Brewood Hall is a house built in the late 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a clay tile roof behind a plain parapet with stone capping and brick stacks. The building has an H plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, with a window arrangement of 2:3:2. The windows are 19th-century plate glass sashes, and there are projecting gabled wings on both the left and right sides. The central doorway is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. Each wing has a plaque below the first-floor windows; the right wing displays the Hussey-Fowkes coat of arms, while the left wing's plaque is blank.
Surrounding the property is a brick garden wall approximately six feet high on the southwest, southeast, and northeast sides, featuring rusticated gate piers topped with stone ball ornaments. The house was built for the Fowkes family.
