Description

No 46, also known as Old Smithy House, is a house located on Dean Street. It likely originated in the 17th century and was remodeled in the 18th century. The front is made of painted brick, which covers an earlier timber frame, and it features a clay tile roof with red brick stacks. The house has two storeys and a four-window front, with glazing bar sashes that are flanked by louvred shutters. To the right, there is a folding garage door, and the entrance is at the extreme left, accessed by a flight of brick steps. There is a 20th-century panelled door to the left, which includes a fanlight and a bracketed canopy.
