Description
Hilltop Cottages is a house dating from the late 17th century, which was remodeled in the mid-19th century. It features timber framing that is faced in brown brick, with a plain tile roof and a central brick stack. The building has a baffle-entry plan and stands two storeys tall, with an eaves band. There are two windows with 20th-century casements that have segmental heads, and a central boarded door. The left-hand gable displays exposed framing with three square panels at the eaves, supported by straight braces. The roof truss includes two collars and vertical struts. At the rear, there is a 19th-century brick outshut.
