Description
Great Moor House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a sandstone plinth and features a clay tile roof with brick end stacks. The building consists of two parallel ranges and is two storeys high with a gable-lit attic. It has a moulded stone eaves course and a symmetrical façade with a layout of two windows, a central projecting bay, and two more windows. The windows are plate glass sashes with painted sills, gauged heads, and raised key blocks, all linked by painted bands. There are stone mullioned cellar windows and a central six-panelled door that is sheltered by a 20th-century glazed porch. To the right, there is a single-storey extension and a walled area that includes plate glass sashes and a half-glazed door to the left. Inside, the house features a staircase with turned balusters, panelled doors, and a corner fireplace at the rear with a marble surround.
