Description

The Chantry is an early 18th-century house located on the south west side of Dean Street, Brewood. It is constructed of red brick with a clay tile roof and a brick stack. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a five-window front. It features glazing bar sash windows with segmental heads and fluted plaster key blocks. A cove sits under the eaves with bracketed guttering, and there are three hipped dormers with casements; raised verges are also present. A 20th-century panelled door is set within a 20th-century surround featuring a triangular pediment and Tuscan columns, replacing an earlier pedimented surround.
