Description
The Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in Trescott, Wrottesley. It features a timber frame with brick infill that has replaced the original wattle and daub. The cottage has a thatched roof that is hipped to the right and includes a brick end stack on the left side. It consists of two framed bays and has one storey with a gable-lit attic. The exterior displays irregular panels with short, straight braces, and there are casement windows to the left and right of a central 20th-century door. To the left, there is a lean-to brick extension that is painted black and white to imitate traditional framing.
Inside, the cottage boasts an inglenook fireplace and exposed ceiling beams, adding to its historic charm.
