PENKRIDGE C.P. Congreve Manor Farmhouse and attached barn and granary

GV II

Farmhouse, barn and granary. Early C18 with later alterations and additions. Red brick; plain tile roof; brick ridge stacks. Farmhouse to left, barn to centre, granary to the right, descending in height from left to right.

Farmhouse: two storeys with dentilled eaves; four bays, casements with segmental heads, early C19 bow window to right of centre; half glazed doors to left of centre and to right, the former with panelled doorcase, the latter with large lean-to porch.

Barn: One storey with dentilled eaves; two roof bays, tall blocked doorway to right with segmental head, inserted entrance to left and one row of ventilation holes to left hand bay immediately below eaves level.

Granary: two storeys, one bay, casement with segmental head to ground floor centre; two tiers of ventilation holes above, the upper one blocked, a row of ventilation loops above, immediately below eaves level.
