Description
The War Memorial is constructed from timber and stone, likely reconstituted materials. It is prominently located near the liturgical west end of the church. The memorial features a wooden Calvary with a stone figure of Christ at the center. Flanking Christ are carved figures of the Virgin Mary and St John the Baptist, while at the foot of the cross is a kneeling figure, probably representing Mary Magdalene. Two reconstituted stone blocks are present, each with dedicatory plaques. The left plaque is inscribed with: "PRAY FOR THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY DURING THE/ GREAT WAR 1914-1918/ (NAMES, including one of the Fallen from the Second World War)." The plaque on the second block reads: "1939-45/ (NAMES)/ PIE JESU DOMINE DONA EIS REQUIEM."
