3/22 Haywood memorial about 4m south of south porch of the Church of St John the Baptist

Chest tomb. C.1790. Sandstone ashlar. Rectangular in plan. Moulded plinth and capping with square corner balusters and frieze with rosette and geometrical motifs. Moulded inscription panel on north side has a long eulogy in memory of Elizabeth (died 1790), wife of Thomas Haywood (died 1801), who is commemorated on the south side. A later, largely indecipherable inscription to Elizabeth, the wife of John Bourne Boulton, on the west face.
