Description
54 and 56 Beacon Street are two houses built around 1820, featuring painted brick with ashlar dressings and a tile roof with a brick stack. They have a double-depth plan and are designed in the Georgian style. The buildings are two storeys high and have a four-window range. There is a plain plinth and a top cornice parapet. The entrances at each end are adorned with architraves, friezes, and cornices, and each has a half-glazed door. The windows on the ground floor have sills and 16-pane sashes, while those on the first floor have 12-pane sashes. There is a cross-axial stack, a gabled rear wing, and three stacks.
