Description

The property comprises three houses, originally one dwelling, dating from the late 17th or early 18th century with an 18th-century addition and subsequent alterations. It is timber-framed with brick infill, featuring tile roofs and brick stacks. The original plan was a double-depth layout, with a later range added to the rear.

The main house has two storeys and a symmetrical three-window front, accompanied by a single-storey wing at each end. A hipped roof has three gables. The front features a stone plinth partly covered with applied timber framing over plastered sections. Central entrances are recessed behind Tudor arches, with Art Nouveau iron gates, half-glazed doors incorporating leaded glazing, and side lights. Projecting three-light windows have cornices, although two narrow windows are located on the first floor. 20th-century windows are visible on the wings. The left return side showcases exposed square framing and three flat-roofed dormers, alongside a tall chimney stack.

The rear range has three storeys and a four-window front, with coped gables, end stacks, and a modillioned brick cornice. The windows have sills and rubbed brick flat arches over 12-pane sashes, with 9-pane sashes on the second floor. A 20th-century addition and a ground-floor entrance are present on the right return to Nether Beacon House. The left return has a small two-storey rear wing with an end stack and a 4:12:4-pane tripartite sash window, which is taller than the adjacent front range due to a slope in the ground.

The interior of Nether Beacon House was not inspected but likely retains features such as beams and fireplaces.
