Description
Dunimere Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the 18th century, with some later alterations. It is constructed of brick, partly rendered, and features a plain tile roof with gabled ends. The building has brick axial and gable-end stacks. The main range includes a wing at the center of the north front and a service wing at the rear to the southwest.
The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic. The north front features a gabled wing at the center, with cross-mullion-transom windows that have glazing bars in cambered arch openings. There is a bowed bay window on the ground floor to the left, which has an entablature and bowed sashes with glazing bars. To the right of the bay window in the wing is a pilastered doorcase. The rear south side has similar cross-mullion-transom windows, including one with three lights on the ground floor, and a two-storey service wing on the left.
Inside, there is a staircase with a Chinese Chippendale balustrade, square newels, and a moulded string. The interior also features 18th-century panelled doors. The still room contains a 19th-century cheese press, and there are cheese racks in the attic.
