Description
116-120 Lichfield Street is a house and outbuildings associated with Bonehill Mill, now used as shops. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a plain tile roof. The building features three brick ridge stacks and a large internal stack located in the right corner, with a double-depth plan.
The structure is two storeys high and has a six-bay, three-window layout with irregular fenestration. The third bay contains a 20th-century half-glazed door, while the fourth and fifth bays have plank doors and wood cross windows with horizontal glazing bars, along with two-light windows above. The ground floor openings are topped with segmental arches. The gabled two-bay elevation facing Lichfield Street includes a plank door with a simple doorcase and boarded-up windows.
Inside, the ground floor is noted for its beams and an open fireplace. This building is part of a group that includes Bonehill Mill and No. 122 Lichfield Street.
