Description
The Passam tomb, located approximately 13.5 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Chad, is a chest tomb dedicated to members of the Passam family, with dates of death ranging from 1798 to 1860. The tomb is constructed from ashlar and slate and features a plinth, square balusters that are intricately carved with relief foliage and flowers, and a cornice leading to a faceted cap. Each side of the tomb is adorned with inscribed slate panels.
