Description

The soup kitchen, located approximately 100 meters east of The Lawns, was built around 1900. It is constructed of red brick and features a pyramidal slate roof. The building has a small single-storey square plan, with a louvred cupola and finial at the apex, and a panel door on the west side. This structure is part of an Edwardian mansion complex that was built for the Bass family, who were brewers in Burton-on-Trent. The soup kitchen is a rare example of this type of building within the group.
